Training Refund Policy Effective Jan. 1, 2017:
(applies to ESGW, Refrigeration, NTT, & Management Training)

There will be no refunds issued for any CFESA training classes. If a company is not able to send their participant to the course, 50% of the course registration fee will be automatically forfeited. The remaining 50% registration fee will be applied to a credit that may be utilized towards another class. The credit must be utilized within 6 months or it will be automatically forfeited.


Course Cost = $750 for CFESA Members and $1500 for Non CFESA Members

The EGS&W course focus is hands-on troubleshooting. This course is designed for the technician that has worked in the field for 2 years or less or needs a confidence boost to work independently. Technicians must be familiar with electric, gas, and steam theory as well as possess basic mechanical aptitude.

The skill level for participants attending this course should be mid-level to seasoned technicians.  Entry level technicians would not have the skill set needed to participate in this course.

Qualifications: Technicians must be familiar with electric, gas and steam theory and have a working knowledge of foodservice equipment.  Again entry level technicians would not have the skill set needed to participate in this course.

Prerequisite: There is no standard prerequisite at this time, but we do ask that managers take into consideration the complexities of pizza ovens and determine if your technicians are suited to attend.

This is a specialized training course designed for those looking to enter, or recently hired into the foodservice equipment repair industry. The candidates for this training will have little to no knowledge or skill set of the industry. This five-day class will act as the spring board of their career. The training will consist of company expectations, customer service, kitchen equipment operation, basic principles of electric, gas and steam in addition to hands-on equipment training.

Refrigeration Training Class is a five day course specifically designed to cover the basic principles of commercial refrigeration repair. The course focuses on introductory concepts including the basic operation of commercial refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, defrost mechanisms, compressors and electrical circuits. Topics covered include the laws of refrigeration, compression cycle, latent and sensible heat, methods of heat transfer, and methods of cutting, bending, and torching tubing.

Whaley Foodservice is proud to be hosting the 2018 CFESA Region 4 meeting September 27th – 28th in Charlotte, NC!
