There will be no refunds issued for any CFESA training classes. If a company is not able to send their participant to the course, 50% of the course registration fee will be automatically forfeited. The remaining 50% registration fee will be applied to a credit that may be utilized towards another class. The credit must be utilized within 6 months or it will be automatically forfeited.

There will be no refunds issued for any CFESA training classes. If a company is not able to send their participant to the course, 50% of the course registration fee will be automatically forfeited. The remaining 50% registration fee will be applied to a credit that may be utilized towards another class. The credit must be utilized within 6 months or it will be automatically forfeited.

Cost = $750 for CFESA Members and $1500 for Non-Members

This training class is geared toward your mid-level technicians looking to help or to start handling installations as a team leader. Topics covered during the training are a review of Basic Electricity, covering; Circuit Breakers, Fuses, Caps and Receptacles, and Conduit Sizing. Basics of Gas, covering Piping, Pressure, Gas Leaks, Venting, and Connectors. Other topics that will be covered; Installation Training Requirements- NFPA Guidelines, Safety on the Job Site, Health and Sanitation Requirements, CFESA Forms and Start up Sheets, Pricing, Customer Service, and Code Updates.

CFESA will administer a test at the end of this course. Technicians that receive a passing grade and are employed by member companies will receive the designation of “CFESA Certified Installer”. Passing technicians that are not members of CFESA will receive a certificate of completion.

The candidates for this training will have little to no knowledge or skill set of the industry. This five-day class will act as the spring board of their career. The training will consist of company expectations, customer service, kitchen equipment operation, basic principles of electric, gas, and steam in addition to hands-on equipment training.

Refrigeration Training


Refrigeration Training Class is a five day course specifically designed to cover the basic principles of commercial refrigeration repair. The course focuses on introductory concepts including the basic operation of commercial refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, defrost mechanisms, compressors and electrical circuits. Topics covered include the laws of refrigeration, compression cycle, latent and sensible heat, methods of heat transfer, and methods of cutting, bending, and torching tubing.

Management Level 1 training is a three-day course specifically designed to assist managers in their daily activities from planning to completion. This course is available to any type of manager within the food service repair industry.
