CFESA is pleased to announce our 2017 Combi Oven Training Class Schedule. Classes will take place at CFESA World Headquarters and Global Training Facility in Ft. Mill, SC.

The skill level for participants attending this course should be mid-level to seasoned technicians.  Entry level technicians would not have the skill set needed to participate in this course.

Qualifications: Technicians must be familiar with electric, gas and steam theory and have a working knowledge of foodservice equipment.  Again entry level technicians would not have the skill set needed to participate in this course.

Prerequisite: There is no standard prerequisite at this time, but we do ask that managers take into consideration the complexities of combi ovens and determine if your technicians are suited to attend.

This class is limited to 30 participants.  Seats are not considered “Reserved” until full payment has been received.  You can Register and Pay for this course by clicking the Register button.

All CFESA EGS&W courses are about hands-on troubleshooting. If your technician has worked in the field for 2 years or less or is a technician that needs a confidence boost to work in the field independently than this is the course designed just for that technician.

There are a limited amount of spaces available for each class, so sign-up for the course now and reserve spots for your technicians. This year we will be limiting the size to 20 students per class. Refrigeration Training Class is a five day course specifically designed to cover the basic principles of commercial refrigeration repair. The course focuses on introductory concepts including the basic operation of commercial refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, defrost mechanisms, compressors and electrical circuits. Topics covered include the laws of refrigeration, compression cycle, latent and sensible heat, methods of heat transfer, and methods of cutting, bending, and torching tubing.

This training class is geared toward your mid-level technicians looking to help or to start handling installations as a team leader. Topics covered during the training are a review of Basic Electricity, covering; Circuit Breakers, Fuses, Caps and Receptacles, and Conduit Sizing. Basics of Gas, covering Piping, Pressure, Gas Leaks, Venting, and Connectors. Other topics that will be covered; Installation Training Requirements- NFPA Guidelines, Safety on the Job Site, Health and Sanitation Requirements, CFESA Forms and Start up Sheets, Pricing, Customer Service, and Code Updates.

CFESA will administer a test at the end of this course. Technicians that receive a passing grade and are employed by member companies will receive the designation of “CFESA Certified Installer”. Passing technicians that are not members of CFESA will receive a certificate of completion.
