your steak into the local steakhouse and
ask them to cook it for you and serve you
with it (they can provide the baked potato
and condiments, but you will bring in the
wedge salad and blue cheese). The chef
or owner would come out of their skin and
throw you out for sure.
We as service companies and local
authorized warranty service providers
MUST stock the parts needed to support
our loyal customer base, and charge a
fair (not inflated) price for those parts.
Moreover, the local customer needs to buy
these parts (at a little higher rate than
the e-tailers sell them for) from the local
service company so they can afford to
stock these parts. Don’t get me wrong, I
buy things online and like the savings, but
I try only to buy things that I cannot find
locally. There is a need and a place for the
e-tailers, but not for everything.
I am a big
fan of the local
hardware store..
