2017 Board of Directors Candidate
Ken Beasley
Key Food Equipment Services
In 2004 I began as Key Food Equipment Service’s
General Manager. From 2005 to 2016 I oversaw and
managed the expansion of parts and service from
2 cities in British Columbia to 10 cities across West-
ern Canada. In May of 2017 my role changed to pro-
vide oversight of Canada’s largest service operations
- Key, RG Henderson (Ontario) and Choquette CKS
(Quebec).
Over the past 13 years I’ve come to know the Cana-
dian market, having direct relationships with most of the key manufactures in our
industry. All three service brands are CFESA certified and actively participate in its
mission and vision.
Question 1: What prompted you to run for CFESA’s Board of Directors?
The prompting came from a number of CFESA board members. The strength and
future of CFESA is built on the willingness of individuals to give of their time and re-
sources. Both I and the companies’ I represent have benefited from CFESA and its
work. I’m pleased to be in a position to serve in this way.
Question 2: What skill sets do you have that would benefit the association if
you were elected to the Board of Directors?
Below is from the summary of my Predictive IndexTM (a management assessment
tool):
• Focused on developing and maintaining harmonious relationships within a
stable, consistent organization.
• Willing to delegate authority and details; his follow-up will be deliberate, casu-
al and friendly, generally assuring that work was done within company policy.
• Comfortable sharing authority, sees teamwork as something everyone con-
tributes to, including himself.
• Sympathetically interested in and trusting of others – a good listener and a
lenient, understanding manager.
• Interested in building agreement by gathering input from others, assuring that
