CFESA TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATIONS

Certified Technician Patch

CFESA is committed to ensuring that service companies meet industry repair needs professionally & efficiently. To support quality service, CFESA designed a program that tests technicians and certifies them only upon successful exam completion. After passing rigorous exams, CFESA awards technicians seals of excellence in electricity, gas, steam, and refrigeration. CFESA also awards certificates noting Certified Technician status in earned technical areas. CFESA automatically recertifies technicians that work with certified companies. A “CFESA Certified Technician” will maintain certification for five years, from the date of their certification. Technicians will retain certification status regardless of employment status during those five years. At the end of the five-year certification period, the association will revoke all certifications if a technician is not employed by a CFESA member company. Click here for recertification guidelines

Certified Master Technician Patch

Manufacturers demonstrate program credibility when they provide advanced training for CFESA Certified Technicians. Restaurant owners and foodservice managers recognize the value of a highly educated and trained CFESA Certified Technician to perform equipment maintenance and repairs.

Once a technician has passed three of four tests, CFESA awards a Master Technician Certification.
CFESA Certified Master Technicians are among the most knowledgeable skilled workers in the industry.
