Refrigeration Training Class is a five-day course specifically designed to cover the basic principles of commercial refrigeration repair. The course focuses on introductory concepts, including the basic operation of commercial refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, defrost mechanisms, compressors, and electrical circuits. Topics covered include the laws of refrigeration, compression cycle, latent and sensible heat, heat transfer methods, cutting, bending, and torching tubing.
Requirements
- CFESA Electrical Certification (or approval from CFESA HQ*)
- EPA recovery line I & II
*Technicians who have not earned the CFESA Electrical Certification must contact Dan Reese, CFESA Director of Training, for approval to attend this class
Course Cost
- $1000 for CFESA Members
- $2000 for Non-CFESA Members

Training Refund Policy Effective Jan. 1, 2017:
There will be no refunds issued for any CFESA training classes. If a company cannot send their participant to the course, 50% of the course registration fee will be automatically forfeited. The remaining 50% registration fee will be applied to a credit that may be utilized toward another class. The credit must be utilized within six months, or it will be automatically forfeited.
