Service Excellence Starts Here

We certify the best because top kitchens demand it. Our rigorous program tests technicians on gas, electric, steam and refrigeration, awarding those who prove they can deliver expert service. Earn the badge trusted by thousands of commercial kitchens across the U.S., Canada and the U.K.

Two Certifications. One Goal.

CFESA-Certified Technician

CFESA-Certified Technicians have the skills to handle gas, electric, steam and refrigeration repairs with precision. Certification is valid for five years and renews automatically if you work with a CFESA-certified company.

Master Technician

Master Technician status is awarded to those who pass three of the four core exams. It’s the highest recognition in the industry, signaling advanced expertise and the ability to handle complex repairs with skill and confidence.

Five Years Up? Time to Renew

CFESA certification is valid for five years and stays with the technician until the expiration date, even if they leave a member company.

To renew, you must be employed by a CFESA member company and show proof of continuing education from the past five years. Without it, you’ll need to retest.

If your employer is a CFESA-certified company and you’ve completed the required continuing education, your certification automatically renews at expiration. Your company administrator can confirm your renewal status through the member dashboard.
