Education Training Committee

This committee is responsible for upholding CFESA’s gold standards for technician training. They update programs to stay ahead of evolving technologies, ensuring techs master the latest and most essential skills in gas, electric, steam and refrigeration.

  • Meeting Commitment: Every third Thursday at 10 a.m. EST
  • Mission Statement: To promote and provide foodservice industry professionals with high quality education and training.

CFESA Cares Committee

This committee is responsible for driving CFESA’s charitable initiatives. It supports the Service Heroes and Support Heroes Scholarship Program and helps organizes the CFESA Cares Charity Golf Tournament at the annual conference.

  • Meeting Commitment: Every fourth Tuesday at 1 p.m. EST
  • Mission Statement: Providing support and resources to inspire and educate those servicing commercial food equipment.

Membership Services Committee

This committee is dedicated to enhancing the value of CFESA membership. It develops programs and resources that support member success, ensuring we deliver meaningful benefits, professional development and networking opportunities.

  • Meeting Commitment: Every fourth Thursday at 1 p.m. EST
  • Mission Statement: To identify needs and develop programs that add value to CFESA members.

Young Professionals Committee

This committee supports the next generation of foodservice talent. YPC creates resources, networking events and growth opportunities to help young professionals advance their careers and become future industry leaders.

  • Meeting Commitment: Every third Wednesday at 11 a.m. EST
  • Mission Statement: To provide resources and foster relationships among the young professionals in the foodservice industry that help them develop into the leaders of tomorrow.

Yes, only CFESA members in good standing can apply for official committee membership.

CFESA committee members are dedicated volunteers who have completed the application and approval process to join a committee. They actively contribute to the committee’s goals and projects, bringing key qualities and values such as leadership, diversity, communication skills, responsibility, loyalty and strategic thinking. Each committee is made up of 20 members who represent a broad range of expertise and passion for advancing the foodservice industry.

  • Involvement Timeline: Commitment is for one calendar year, beginning with committee meetings at CFESA’s annual conference. You may serve multiple years, but re-application is required at the end of each term.
  • Time Commitment: In addition to attending meetings at the annual conference, members participate in monthly conference calls. Depending on the committee, there may be additional time required on a monthly basis.

Each committee offers leadership opportunities, including serving as a co-chair for a two-year term. Committees typically have two co-chairs who work together to guide the committee’s goals, lead meetings and support member engagement.
