Can you provide some examples of how you feel your industry exposure, business background, and experience within CFESA will benefit the board and ultimately, the membership?

As you probably know, I have a strong media presence in the industry. And a reputation for telling the truth. My company has an impeccable reputation for having a unique blend of old school quality & new age innovation. And I have been working to develop my leadership skills and influencing ability for the past 15 years. Honestly, I haven’t been AS involved in CFESA as I could have been, with the exception of the past couple years. However, I feel that puts me at an advantage. I can see things from the viewpoint of someone who could be more involved, but isn’t, and use my skills & network to influence that person/company to contribute to the association. In other words, I’m familiar with the pain points & excuses. I can also portray my thoughts clearly, honestly, and respectfully. And I believe the greatest way to impact anything lies in your ability to ask earnest questions. Which is something I enjoy doing. I feel all of this has made me a good contributor to the YPC committee. Lastly, through my podcast I have a large audience in the skilled trades as a whole. And an international reach with regard to people, companies, information, associations, education, etc. This can be used for intel, recruitment, marketing, etc. Although I will not sell out my show 🙂
