Not Sure What Type of Service You Need?

Use the guide below to find the category that best fits your equipment or repair needs.

Gas service applies to commercial kitchen equipment that uses natural gas or propane as the heat source. This includes ranges, fryers, griddles, ovens and broilers with open flames or burners. Common service needs include burners that won’t ignite, flames that won’t stay lit or suspected gas leaks.

Electric service covers equipment powered entirely by electricity. This includes electric ovens, fryers, toasters, holding cabinets and induction cookers. Typical issues include failure to power on, uneven heating or repeated tripping of electrical circuits.

Steam service is for equipment that relies on pressurized steam to operate. This includes combi ovens, steamers and commercial dishwashers. Service may be needed when units stop generating steam, fail to sanitize properly or build pressure inconsistently.

Electronic service addresses problems with digital or programmable components. This includes control panels, sensors, touchscreens, timers and temperature probes. Issues often involve error codes, unresponsive screens, inaccurate readings or system malfunctions.

Refrigeration service applies to equipment used for cooling, freezing or ice production. This includes walk-in coolers, reach-in refrigerators and freezers, undercounter units, prep tables and ice machines. Common problems include poor temperature control, water leaks, unusual noises or non-functioning compressors.

Install I refers to basic replacement of existing foodservice equipment with the same or similar models in an established kitchen. This applies when no kitchen modifications are needed, just a direct swap of one unit for another in the same location.

Install II refers to direct replacement of existing equipment with the same or similar models in an established kitchen. No layout changes, construction or utility modifications are involved.

Install III includes all Install II services and adds general contracting and specialty work. This may involve hoods, HVAC, fire suppression systems, plumbing, electrical work, stainless steel welding, carpentry and pulling permits. Often used for complete kitchen buildouts.

Welding service is used for structural repairs or custom fabrication involving metal kitchen equipment, especially stainless steel. This includes broken equipment frames, cracked welds or made-to-fit stainless components.

Polishing service restores the appearance of stainless steel surfaces by removing scratches, discoloration and buildup. Commonly applied to visible surfaces such as hoods, countertops and equipment panels.

In-shop repair applies to small or portable equipment that can be serviced at a technician’s facility. This includes mixers, slicers, countertop fryers and other benchtop units that can be brought in for service by the customer.
